E23 — 21 August 2026: Lucy’s proposed visit is withdrawn — Broadwick later offers a representative ‘at your property’

Lucy, introduced as Head of Operations, apologised that the proposed visit to the property the previous weekend had not taken place after contact details were supplied. She said Broadwick’s consultants could take readings outside the property but would not enter, and that she would contact the resident to agree a suitable time so that ‘the visit’ could be properly coordinated.

The telephone conversation and withdrawal

At 19:21 the resident sent a contemporaneous email recording that Lucy had told him she would come over that evening to experience the bass inside the home, but that she had then been instructed by her boss not to do so. He recorded that her personally proposed visit had therefore been withdrawn.

A further email at 19:42 repeated that Lucy had been willing to come over and experience the conditions but had been told not to do so.

Lucy’s later response

At 20:43 Lucy replied without disputing that account. She said that, when the Tower Hamlets EHO visit was known, Broadwick could look to arrange for a Broadwick representative to be present because she understood the resident would prefer to meet ‘at your property’, rather than at Magazine London or elsewhere where the noise could not be heard.

Why it matters

The correspondence makes the later presentation of a simple and consistent ‘outside readings only’ position difficult to reconcile with Broadwick’s actual engagement at the time. It also shows that Broadwick itself acknowledged that a meeting elsewhere could be at a location where the complained-of noise could not be heard.
