Start Here: What Under Scrutiny Records

Under Scrutiny is a public evidence record concerning the Magazine London Open-Air events in August 2026, the effect reported by residents across the Thames, the responses of Broadwick, the Royal Borough of Greenwich and the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, and the questions those events now raise about licensing, environmental protection and regulatory scrutiny.

The archive is intended to make the underlying chronology easy to inspect. It distinguishes contemporaneous evidence from comment. Emails, photographs and videos are matched by date and time wherever possible so readers can compare what was said with what was happening at the time.

Access and logging

The public evidence record is deliberately open so that residents, journalists, councillors, regulators, artists, corporate clients and other interested parties can review and share it easily. Site access and aggregate usage may be logged for security, administration and analytics. Where a later restricted Evidence Room is used, access logging will be stated expressly.

Central questions

The central questions are whether the event controls were adequate in advance; whether the councils independently scrutinised the plans and assurances supplied to them; whether the agreed noise limits and monitoring methodology protected affected homes in practice; whether complaints about low-frequency bass and artificial light were investigated effectively; and what confidence regulators should place on future assurances from the operator.
